India condemns terrorist attacks in Istanbul
New Delhi [India], Dec. 11 (ANI): Condemning the recent terror attack in Istanbul, India has said that it stands in solidarity with the people of Turkey. "We offer deep condolences to the bereaved families and wish speedy recovery to the injured," said a statement from the External Affairs Ministry. The statement added that terrorism in any form and manifestation is completely unacceptable and that the heinous attack in Istanbul again highlights the urgent need for collective resolve on the part of the world community against the scourge of terrorism. Yesterday, a twin bomb attack outside a football stadium in the Turkish city of Istanbul killed 38 people, mostly police officers, and injured more than 160 others. The explosions, triggered by a car and suicide bomb less than one minute apart, struck outside Beskitas's stadium less than two hours after a match had finished on Saturday evening. (ANI)
