Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 22 (ANI): Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on Monday addressed a press conference welcoming several leaders into the Bhartiya Janata Party and said that the INDIA bloc will prove to be super flop amid the Lok Sabha elections.
Welcoming the leaders, Brajesh Pathak said, "Today, many leaders working for different political parties have joined BJP. On this occasion, BJP heartily welcomes all the members who have joined the party. Today, to lead ahead the vision of PM Modi's Viksit Bharat, you all came today to the BJP office to gain the membership and work for the country."
Taking to his official X handle, Pathak tweeted, "Today at the BJP State Office in Lucknow, leaders from various parties, impressed by the nationalist ideology and policies of the BJP, were made to join the BJP and heartily congratulated and wished them a bright future. On this occasion, Hon'ble Regional President, BJP Avadh Region Shri Kamlesh Mishra Ji, Hon'ble State Minister Shri Shiv Bhushan Ji, Hon'ble State Minister Shri Shankar Singh Lodhi Ji, Hon'ble State Media Incharge Shri Manish Dixit Ji, Hon'ble Co-Media Incharge Shri Himanshu Ji and other officials were present."

Taking a jibe at the opposition, UP's deputy CM claimed that they work on the politics of appeasement. "These people follow the politics of appeasement while BJP works on the principle of 'Sabka Sath, Sabka, Vikas, Sabka Vishwas' and the results will be in favour of BJP. BJP will win all 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The opposition, which was earlier in the form of UPA 1 and UPA 2, has now taken a new form as INDIA alliance. And is going to be a super flop."
Remarking on the opposition's past results, Pathak said, "It has proven to be a failure in 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2022. BJP's vote share has gone up each time. This time too, the vote share will go up and the BJP government will be formed under the leadership of PM Modi with absolute majority."
Hailing PM Narendra Modi's initiatives and policies, Pathak said that India has now achieved the status as world's fifth largest economy. "Because of PM Modi's policies, we can say that India, which was earlier at 11th position, has now become the world's fifth largest economy."
Uttar Pradesh, which sends the maximum number of MPs, 80, to Parliament, will vote in all seven phases. Voting for phase 1 was held on eight seats on April 19. (ANI)
