Morena (Madhya Pradesh) [India], January 24 (ANI): Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has taken a jibe at INDIA bloc saying it is a Ghamandiya (arrogant) alliance.
Scindia made the remark while speaking to reporters in Morena district on Wednesday in view of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee announcement about going solo in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in her state.
"It is not an INDIA alliance, it is a Ghamandiya (arrogant) and corrupt alliance. On one hand, Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla's idol was happening, Akhand Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Bharat were being established, and on the other hand, sticks and stones pelting were happening in Assam. This is their (Congress) Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and their (Congress) whole reality is now in front of the public," Scindia said.
Notably, the INDIA bloc suffered a huge setback on Wednesday as Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee said that her party declared that the Trinamool Congress would fight alone in Bengal.
"I had no discussions with the Congress party. I have always said that in Bengal, we will fight alone. I am not concerned about what will be done in the country but we are a secular party and in Bengal, we will alone defeat the BJP. I am a part of the INDIA alliance. Rahul Gandhi's Nyay Yatra is passing through our state but we have not been informed about it," said the TMC leader. (ANI)
