Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], September 2 (ANI): BJP's national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Saturday said that the opposition bloc "INDIA" lacks a genuine development agenda and is on the brink of collapse due to internal divisions and a sole focus on targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chugh's remarks, categorize the INDIA bloc as a "fake get-together party" that primarily seeks to criticize Prime Minister Modi without putting forward any substantive plans for the country's development.
Chugh pointed out that the alliance faces significant internal challenges, as it boasts more than a dozen potential prime ministerial candidates, highlighting the ideological and political fractures within the group. He accused the members of opportunism and a narrow focus on short-term political gains.
The BJP leader emphasized the accomplishments of the Modi government, both on the national and international fronts, citing numerous welfare schemes that have benefitted India's 140 crore citizens. He noted that these visionary and progressive policies have earned the government acclaim on a global scale, causing unease among the opposition.
Chugh also commented on the recent "Mumbai meet," describing it as an expression of panic within the opposition ranks. He suggested that the entire opposition is perturbed by the Modi government's achievements and is responding with a sense of urgency.
As the political landscape continues to evolve in India, Chugh's remarks underscore the ongoing debate over the opposition's ability to present a coherent and viable alternative to the current government's policies and leadership. (ANI)
