New Delhi [India], May 2 (ANI): Taking a dig at the INDIA bloc, BJP's national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said that the alliance is fighting among itself and that the alliance is filled with confusion and lacks any mission or vision.
Speaking to ANI, Shehzad Poonawala said, "Everywhere in the country, from north to south and from east to west, the INDI alliance is fighting against the INDI alliance. Omar vs Mehbooba, Congress vs Left in Kerala, Congress vs TMC in Bengal. In Punjab, it's AAP Vs Congress, even though they have formed an alliance... In Maharashtra also, there is fighting. In Uttar Pradesh, one alliance left, in Bihar, one alliance partner has left and RJD vs Congress is going on."
He also said that the alliance lacks any sort of mission and vision. "This alliance has only confusion, no mission and vision, 'no neta or neeti' and that is why, you can see that even the TMC and Congress leaders are exposing the true state of the INDI alliance across the country."
"This is the true face of the INDI alliance: No mission, no vision, only confusion! 'Apna apna ambition and corruption'. Even Adhir da as per the video put out by TMC seems to know that voting for TMC means voting for terror, mafia and corruption and therefore if you want to save Bengal, if you want to benefit and progress of Bengal then vote should go to BJP," Poonawala said.
Poonawala also attacked Congress for the statement made by Mallikarjun Kharge over Lord Ram and Lord Shiv and said, "Congress is the biggest opponent of Hindu and Sanatan and divide and rule is written in their DNA. First, they divided the nation in the name of religion, and then divided in the name of castes and language."
Earlier on Tuesday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge while addressing a public rally in Chhattisgarh and seeking votes in support of Congress candidate Shivkumar Dahariya, said, "This candidate is Shivkumar Dahariya. His name is Shivkumar - 'barabar ye Ram ka muqabla kar sakta hai kyunki ye Shiv hai' (He can compete with Ram because he is Shiva). I am also Mallikarjun. (Main bhi Shiv hoon)."
Shehzad Poonawala added further, "On one side, Rahul Gandhi in the name of vote jihad wants to unite Muslims and on the other hand, he stooped to such a level that he is trying to divide the Hindus... He says that Lord Shiva will contest against Lord Ram. This shows the mentality of Congress."
Earlier today, reacting to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's statement on Lord Ram and Lord Shiv, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the party is taking out its frustration of being defeated by insulting the beliefs of Sanatan.
Speaking to ANI, Yogi Adityanath said, "They (Congress) are taking out their losing frustration by playing with the beliefs of India's Sanatan. By picking such sensitive issues during the elections, Congress is trying to insult India's faith." (ANI)

In an 'X' post, TMC said the government has "ek hi naara, line mein rahe desh bechara," pointing to past governmental measures including demonetisation, the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the Special Identification Registration (SIR), and now the LPG shortage. The party described demonetisation as a "Tughlaqi farman" that forced ordinary citizens to wait in serpentine queues outside banks and ATMs for days to access their own money. The post also highlighted the 2020 COVID-19 oxygen crisis, when families stood in long lines outside hospitals and suppliers as the public health system collapsed.
