New Delhi [India], May 24 (ANI): Janata Dal (United) leader KC Tyagi on Saturday rebutted Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's remarks on Operation Sindoor, saying that no one should make such "objectionable statements" at the time of crisis.
Speaking with ANI, Tyagi said, "In such a time of crisis, no one should make such objectionable and unnecessary statements."
Earlier on Friday, criticising the BJP-led NDA government, Rahul Gandhi said India's foreign policy had "collapsed."
In a post on X, Gandhi raised three questions to the central government.
"Will JJ explain why India has been hyphenated with Pakistan? Why didn't a single country back us in condemning Pakistan? Who asked Trump to 'mediate' between India & Pakistan?" the Lok Sabha LoP said.
Reposting a video of External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar's interview with a media outlet, he said, "India's foreign policy has collapsed."
Earlier, Gandhi questioned External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, accusing him of being silent about how many aircraft the Indian Air Force lost during Operation Sindoor and saying that the nation "deserves the truth."
"EAM Jaishankar's silence isn't just telling -- it's damning. So I'll ask again: How many Indian aircraft did we lose because Pakistan knew? This wasn't a lapse. It was a crime. And the nation deserves the truth," Gandhi posted on X.
Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians. The Indian Armed Forces targeted terror infrastructure deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
Further, KC Tyagi reacted to the NITI Aayog meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which focused on the vision of a developed India by 2047.
"The Prime Minister held a meeting on the concept of a developed India of 2047. Our Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was also present," the JD(U) leader said.
Chaired by PM Modi, the 10th meeting of the NITI Aayog Governing Council will bring together Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of States and Union Territories, Union Ministers, and the Vice Chairman, Members and the CEO of NITI Aayog to deliberate on the roadmap for achieving 'Viksit Rajya, Viksit Bharat @2047' - a developed India by 2047.
