New Delhi [India], September 24 (ANI): Heaping praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his three-day visit to the US, Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda said on Tuesday that the visit has been important and substantial in terms of scale and its outcomes.
In a self-made video, Nadda said, "It has made every Indian proud that President Biden hosted PM Modi at his residence in Delaware. This continued engagement between leaders of the oldest, largest democracies in the world is great for global peace and well-being. The meeting has led to rich outcomes in diverse fields, from trade to culture, greatly benefiting the people of our nation. The QUAD meeting too has been a moment of immense joy because it reflects how nations with shared values can come together and mitigate key challenges the Earth faces. PM Modi's own efforts to make the QUAD more meaningful have been duly noted by other QUAD leaders too."
He also highlighted that, as a Health Minister of India, he is overjoyed with the QUAD leaders embarking on the Cancer Moonshot initiative, adding, "This will add strength in the fight against cancer and impact the lives of millions across the world."
The Cancer Moonshot is a White House initiative to bring renewed leadership to the fight against cancer, facilitate new collaborations, and drive progress across the cancer journey utilising all facets of the oncology community--federal agencies and departments, private companies, healthcare providers, patient groups, philanthropies, and all Americans.
Further, Union Minister Nadda pointed out that PM Modi's bilateral engagements, be it with President Abbas or President Zelenskyy, indicate a rising feeling that his interventions on world peace are greatly valued and also present a ray of hope in a world marred by politics.
"His bilateral meetings with leaders of Vietnam, Nepal, and Kuwait will enhance India's friendship with these nations. At a time of climate change and sustainability, PM Modi's words from the United Nations during the 'Summit of the Future' will remain guiding light towards ensuring better tomorrow. It is important, as he said, to overcome challenges together and, at the same time, reform institutions to give place to those whose voice was not heard on the table," he said.
"It is also great to see leading lights of the tech and business world engage with PM Modi and more than that appreciate the reform trajectory in the last decade. These interactions are leading to significant investments, thus creating jobs for many Indian youths," JP Nadda added.
Following his three-day visit to the US, Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for India on Monday (local time) from John F Kennedy Airport in New York.
During his three-day visit, PM Modi attended the QUAD Leaders' Summit, interacted with the Indian diaspora in New York at the 'Modi and US' event, and addressed the 'Summit of the Future' at the United Nations General Assembly.
Along with that, he held key bilateral meetings during his visit, including meetings with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Palestine's President Mahmoud Abbas. (ANI)
