"Image of Ethics Panel Chairperson hurt by BSP MP Danish Ali": BJP MP Nishikant Dubey

"The image of Scheduled Caste MP Vinod Sonkar ji has been hurt by @bspindia MP Danish Ali. In his affidavit, Darshan Hiranandani promised to pay the expenses (money) for Mahua's (corrupt MP) air travel, hotel and car within the country and abroad. Ethics Committee Chairman Sonkar Ji asked for the ticket and hotel bill from Mahua. If apart from this, he asked any question about Mahua Ji's male friend or staying with a male friend in a hotel, then I will retire from politics," Dubey posted on X.

New Delhi [India], November 3 (ANI): A day after Lok Sabha Ethics Committee member and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Danish Ali condemned the manner in which the panel's meeting was conducted, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused the BSP MP of tainting the image of Committee Chairperson Vinod Sonkar.
The BJP MP further took a jibe at Committee member and BSP MP Danish Ali and accused him of stooping too low.
"Mahila ke victim card ke chakkar mai itne oche nahi baniye Danish," (Just because a woman is using the victim card, don't stoop so low) the BJP MP posted on X.
"For information, just like in the Parliament, the debate is written verbatim in the Parliamentary Committee too @INCIndia @Jduonline MP, if he has the guts, then show the copy of the debate. Don't stoop so low in the matter, Danish," he said further.
This comes a day after BSP MP Danish Ali described the questions asked to Mahua Moitra as "Draupadi's Cheerharan" and condemned the manner in which the Lok Sabha's ethics panel's meeting was conducted.
"The Chairman of the Ethics Committee asked personal questions to Mahua Moitra, which was not tolerable," said Danish Ali.
On Thursday, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra walked out of the committee meeting during cross examination after she had deposed before the committee. Committee member and BSP MP Danish Ali also staged a walk out.
Other opposition members of the committee Janata Dal (United) MP Giridhari Yadav and Congress MP Uttam Kumar Reddy also walked out during Mahua Moitra's cross examination.
Moitra had appeared before Lok Sabha's ethics panel of Parliament in connection with the 'cash for query' charge against her.
Lok Sabha Ethics Committee Chairperson Vinod Sonkar on Thursday alleged that "un-parliamentary language" was used by Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra against him and other members during cross-examination following her deposition before the panel over "Cash-for-Query" charges levelled against her by BJP Nishikant Dubey.
He also said that the committee will sit and decide further action.
Sonkar rejected the allegations of opposition members. "Instead of giving answers, she (Mahua Moitra) got angry and used un-parliamentary language for the Chairperson, and Committee members. Danish Ali, Girdhari Yadav and other opposition MPs tried to accuse the committee and walked out. The committee will sit and discuss," he said.
Moitra is facing 'Cash for Query' charges made by Dubey, who alleged that the Trinamool MP had taken bribes from Dubai-based businessman Hiranandani to raise questions in Parliament to target the Adani Group.
Dubey had written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla last month titled "Re-emergence of nasty 'Cash for Query' in Parliament", seeking a probe into his allegations. He also claimed that Advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai had provided him with proof of alleged bribes.
Both Dubey and Jai Dehadrai have appeared before the Ethics Committee. (ANI)
