Muzaffarpur (Bihar) [India], October 5 (ANI): Ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's public meeting in Bihar's Muzaffarpur, Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh said that Shah's expertise in political strategy should be compared with the country's first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
"If you look at Amit Shah's expertise in political strategy, you should compare him with modern-day Sardar Patel," Singh said, speaking to ANI on Sunday.
"Amit Shah's rally is happening in Bihar, and there is panic in the opposition," he said. Shah will be attending a mega public rally in Muzaffarpur, the first after the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar came out with its caste-based survey findings.
Taking on the Congress and the INDIA bloc for extending their support to the Palestine cause, Singh accused the opposition of supporting terrorism.
"Congress has supported Hamas. There are only two ways before the people. People who want to vote for Congress and INDIA alliance will be with the people who are supporting terrorist acts by Hamas," he said.
Hamas is a terrorist organization based in the Gaza Strip that fired rockets at Israel on October 7 triggering a series of retaliatory attacks by Israel.
Giriraj Singh said that when Shah speaks from Muzaffarpur, the opposition will get to know what the people of Bihar want.
"When Amit Shah speaks from Muzaffarpur, which is the capital of north Bihar, then the opposition will know what the people of Bihar want," he said.
Shah's visit to Bihar marks the seventh time since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suffered a setback in the state after the party, which was in alliance with Janata Dal-United chief Nitish Kumar and was in power in the state, collapsed.
This was after Kumar changed sides, joined hands with the Rashtriya Janata Dal and formed the government with him as the Chief Minister yet again. (ANI)
