"If we make promises, we fulfil them": RJD MP Misa Bharti slams BJP

"Has Modi completed the promises that he made in 2014? Has he given two crore jobs to youth each year? Has Bihar received the special state status? If we make promises, we fulfil them. Tejashwi had promised jobs earlier, and as soon as he became the Deputy CM, he provided jobs to 5 lakh people," Bharti told reporters in Patna.

Patna (Bihar) [India], October 29 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Misa Bharti on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for calling the recently released Mahagathbandhan manifesto a "bunch of lies", saying that Tejashwi Yadav has already stood by his promise of providing jobs when he was the Deputy Chief Minister.
Speaking to reporters here, Bharti questioned the fulfilment of promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Has Modi completed the promises that he made in 2014? Has he given two crore jobs to youth each year? Has Bihar received the special state status? If we make promises, we fulfil them. Tejashwi had promised jobs earlier, and as soon as he became the Deputy CM, he provided jobs to 5 lakh people," Bharti said.
She dismissed the criticism by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the naming of the Mahagathbandhan manifesto as 'Tejashwi Pran Patra', asking whether the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has released their declaration.
"You saw every leader on stage. Has NDA even released their manifesto? They want only votes in Bihar. They don't care about Bihar's development, the youth. Only Mahagathbandhan was thinking about the future of Bihar," the RJD MP said.
Speaking on Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav contesting assembly elections, Bharti said, "Why does the family come in between? Both are among the people and are contesting elections. My best wishes are with both of them."
Earlier in the day, Tejashwi asserted that the opposition Mahagathbandhan's announcements made in a press conference yesterday were "pledges" that would be fulfilled once it comes to power.
"The announcements we made yesterday are our pledge. We will fulfil it together. And we've also made some major announcements. We will also work to implement the OPS (Old Pension Scheme). Especially for journalists, division-wise press clubs will be established. And after that, we will work to build journalist hostels," Yadav said.
"Regarding the transfers and postings of all government employees, whether they are policemen, nurses, or teachers, we will ensure that they are transferred and posted within a 70-kilometre radius," he added. (ANI)
