Patna (Bihar) [India], November 3 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Misa Bharti slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in a sharp attack, stated that the nation is unfortunate to have him as the Prime Minister. She further condemned the language used by him and spoke highly of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.
"It is the misfortune of Bihar and the country that we have such a Prime Minister. 'Katta chal raha hai Mokama mein'... On one side, Tejashwi Yadav is talking about employment, talking about setting up factories, and on the other side, the Prime Minister is making such statements... This country's Prime Minister comes here and talks about 'katta'... When the Prime Minister of this country himself uses such language, what expectation can you have from the rest of the people...." she stated.
Speaking on the absence of Bihar chief Minister Nitish Kumar form the rally of PM Modi in Patna, she moked the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that it only wants the vote bank of Nitish Kumar and does not actually require him.
"Bhartiya Janata Party has rolled the dice... They don't need Nitish Kumar but only need his vote bank...this reflects why Nitish Kumar was absent from yesterday's roadshow..." she stated.
PM Modi on Sunday held a roadshow in Patna after multiple rallies at Arah and Nawada. He was accompanied by BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal and Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan. Notably, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was not seen at the roadshow.
Meanwhile, Misa Bharti congratulated the Indian Women Cricket Team on winning the World Cup 2025 against South Africa.
"For the first time in history this has happened... Congratulations to all the players...I feel like we give a significant amount of attention to the men's team...I urge the sports enthusiasts to give the same attention to the women's team as well...they have created history," she said.
Polling for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly is scheduled to take place in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with the counting of votes set for November 14. (ANI)
