Begusarai (Bihar) [India], October 2 (ANI): Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Thursday hit out at the Congress party, asserting that its leaders have historically displayed weak governance when handling national security matters.
Speaking to ANI in Begusarai, the Union Minister criticised Rahul Gandhi for behaving like an "urban Naxal".
"When the leader of a party like Rahul Gandhi behaves like an urban Naxal, it is natural that the people of Congress will also say the same kind of things. What Chidambaram Sahab has said, he has said it very late... He said that the Manmohan Singh government was a weak government, there was no willpower, and there was no willpower because Congress considers Pakistan as a vote tool. I don't understand whether the country is bigger or the party is bigger or the vote is bigger," Singh said.
He further emphasised the contrast between the past Congress government and the current administration, stating, "It was not a minority government but the willpower was weak; if at that time there had been PM Modi's government, then the action that has been taken today on Pakistan through Operation Sindoor, perhaps if Narendra Modi had been PM at that time, he would have taken action at that time, so there would be no need for Operation Sindoor today."
He also praised the role of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the occasion of its 100th anniversary.
On the occasion, Singh extended his greetings to the nation on the completion of 100 years of the RSS, appreciating the organisation's selfless service and commitment to India's growth.
He highlighted the RSS's role in various national crises, including the 1971 India-Pakistan war, floods, droughts, and other calamities, saying that Sangh volunteers have always been at the forefront of service.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, speaking during the centenary celebrations of RSS in the national capital, PM Modi praised the RSS for its long-standing commitment to nation-building. He said the RSS has helped nurture and strengthen countless lives over the years.
"Just as human civilisations flourish along the banks of mighty rivers, similarly, hundreds of lives have blossomed and thrived along the banks and in the flow of the RSS. Since its formation, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has pursued a grand objective. That objective has been nation-building," PM Modi said. (ANI)
