If Aghadi mistakenly wins, Maharashtra will turn into an ATM for Congress: Amit Shah

"If Aghadi mistakenly wins the elections here, Maharashtra will turn into an ATM for Congress. They will withdraw funds from Maharashtra by using the state's resources and send the money to Delhi. In contrast, if Mahayuti forms the government, the Modi administration will ensure greater development for Maharashtra," Shah said.

Jalgaon (Maharashtra) [India], November 13 (ANI): As Maharashtra gears up for assembly elections next week, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday targetted the opposition saying if Maha Vikas Agadhi (MVA) wins "mistakenly", then the state will turn into an "ATM for Congress."
"If Aghadi mistakenly wins the elections here, Maharashtra will turn into an ATM for Congress. They will withdraw funds from Maharashtra by using the state's resources and send the money to Delhi. In contrast, if Mahayuti forms the government, the Modi administration will ensure greater development for Maharashtra," Shah at a rally in Chalisgaon area of Jalgaon district.
He further dismissed the claims made by MVA that due to the Mahayuti government the investment in the state had stopped, countering that for the past two years the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the state has been the most out of any other state.
"They say (Aghadi), that after Mahayuti's government, there was such less investment. This was actually the time when Aghadi's government was there, but when Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar's government came to power, the state has become number 1 in FDI," Shah said.
Expressing confidence in the Mahayuti government winning the elections, he said, "On 23, Aghadi's supra saaf hone wala hai, Mahayuti government will be formed. After the Lok Sabha's election Rahul (Gandhi) was really happy, and during Rajasthan relections they said that they will win, they will win, but when the results came out, then they were deflated. In Haryana, BJP government was formed. In Jharkhand there are elections going on, there too the BJP government will be formed," Shah added.
Saying that Congress is a party which regularly misleads people, saying that once Rahul Gandhi was seen waving around a copy of the Constitution, but claimed that when reporters got their hands on the copy, then it was an empty one.
"This is because Congress makes false promises and misleads people. Recently, Rahul Gandhi was seen waving a copy of Baba Saheb's Constitution. He used the same copy while taking the oath in the parliament. When some journalists got their hands on the very copy, it had blank pages. By showing a fake constitution, Rahul broke the trust of the people and insulted Baba Saheb. Apparently, you have never read the Indian constitution, Rahul baba," Shah said.
Earlier on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said that the "Laal Kitab" of the Constitution shown by Congress contained "nothing."
Amit Shah continued the scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi and MVA.
"Rahul has broken the trust of the nation by showing fake Constitution, he has insulted Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Constitution you talk about I don't even know whether you open it and read it or not I don't know," the home minister said. (ANI)
