In a post on X, Mufti said, "Visited the Iranian Cultural Centre & Embassy in Delhi to offer my deepest condolences to the people of Iran in these difficult times & paid my tributes to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on his martyrdom. Also took up the issue of Kashmiri students stranded in Iran with the Hon'ble Ambassador."

The event organised by the Bushahr Sports, Culture and Environment Association, the Bushahr Carnival, has been held continuously for the past five years, spanning the first three evenings of the four-day historic Phag Mela. Over the years, the event has evolved into not only a cultural event but also a powerful platform for local talent and a powerful way to connect youth with their rich culture.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday urged the authorities in Jammu and Kashmir police to release protesters from the Shia Community who were detained across the Valley for participating in protests following the reported martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khameini.

"The leadership in Delhi has not condemned this attack nor condoled the people of Iran," the PDP chief stated.

"Prayers for Iran and its resilient people as they face yet another act of aggression by Israel. A nation that has long stood as a defining voice of the Muslim world draws its strength from unshakable faith and conviction. No missile or menace can extinguish its sovereignty or break its spirit. May Allah's protection surround Iran, grant courage and patience to its people, and guide its Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, with wisdom and strength," Mufti's X post read.
