"Hurting beliefs of Hindus": BJP leader Annamalai slams DMK's Sekar Babu for decorating Karunanidhi's memorial as temple tower

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], April 17 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party leader K Annamalai on Thursday attacked Tamil Nadu Minister of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments PK Sekar Babu for decorating Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader Karunanidhi's memorial in the shape of a temple tower and accused the DMK leaders of continuously hurting the sentiments of Hindus.
"In a competition among DMK ministers to see who can be the best servant to the Chief Minister's family, Minister Sekar Babu is acting beyond limits in professional competition by decorating the memorial of the late DMK leader Karunanidhi like a temple tower. The DMK, who claim to have no faith in God, has been making a living by hurting the beliefs of Hindus for a long time. There is a limit to the patience of the public," Annamalai said in a post on X.
The former Tamil Nadu chief said that the minister should "stop" using the Hindu Religious Endowments Department for his business competition.
"If he has so much affection for his late leader, then Minister Sekar Babu should keep his photo in his home's puja room and worship him. If he continues to act out in the name of atheism and insult Hindu religious beliefs, people will teach him a proper lesson," he added.

BJP leader H Raja also attacked the DMK leader and said that the Hindus will teach the DMK a suitable lesson.
"Under the evil Dravidian model of rule... The temple has become a tent for the wicked..!! Gopalapuram is also a tent for bonded laborers..!! This is the result of the change..!! DMK will realize the meaning of "Vinasakale Viparita Buddhi" at the end of the 2026 assembly elections..!! Hindus will teach DMK a suitable lesson," H Raja posted on X.
Earlier today, DMK Minister PK Sekar Babu visited the memorial of Karunanidhi. (ANI)
