Hope people vote for BJP to retain PM Modi in power: Nitish Kumar

Muzaffarpur (Bihar) [India], May 1 (ANI): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday campaigned for Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Ajay Nishad here and said that people should vote for the BJP candidate so that Prime Minister Narendra Modi forms the government at the Centre again.

Muzaffarpur (Bihar) [India], May 1 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday campaigned for Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Ajay Nishad here and said that people should vote for the BJP candidate so that Prime Minister Narendra Modi forms the government at the Centre again.
"I hope that on May 6, people make Ajay Nishad victorious in the Lok Sabha Polls so that PM Modi's government is formed at the centre," said Kumar while speaking at an election rally here.
Praising Prime Minister Modi led NDA government, Kumar said: " The Prime Minister has worked for development and acted against terrorism. PM Modi's government has worked for poor people, particularly for women."
Through Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojna, the benefits have reached to rural poor women. Ayushman Bharat Yojna has also helped the poor by providing the farmers with insurance. Under the Kisan Samman Nidhi programme, Rs 6000 is paid to every farmer per year," 
Praising the Modi government, Kumar said: "Modi government has helped Bihar to face its challenges. It has helped the state in the construction of roadways, bridges, railways, and schools with schemes amounting to Rs 50 thousand crores."
"We ask your support on the basis of the work done. JDU worked for establishing rule of law in Bihar. We have worked for every region and for every section of society. We have helped school dropouts to study and included them in the formal education sector. Education for girl students has also improved," he added. 
He said that World Bank aid was sought for self-help groups across the state. “Around 1 crore women are now connected with these groups and doing well for the welfare of the state. The girl child started going to school more regularly due to the distribution of cycle and school dress."
"There were less than 1,70,000 girls in class ninth a decade back while there are now 9,00,000 girls in the same category,” he elaborated.
Muzaffarpur will go to polls in the fifth phase on May 6.
