Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India] August 19 (ANI): Amid the speculations of Jharkhand former Chief Minister Champai Soren leaving Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). Jharkhand Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) president Babulal Marandi on Monday said that Soren's pain is visible in his post.
"The way he wrote the post, his pain is visible, He's deeply hurt because of the way he was removed from the CM post and now that pain has come out." Babulal Marandi said.
BJP state president Babulal Marandi referred to Champai Soren's post on X in which Soren said that he was "insulted" during his tenure,
Speaking to ANI, Babulal Marandi further claimed that no leader from JMM has been able to come to the forefront since Hemant Soren came to power.
"Since Hemant Soren came to power in 2020, we can see that no other leader of JMM has been able to come to the forefront. There are many leaders in JMM like Champai Soren, but only Hemant Soren is talked about. It is natural for Champai Soren to be anguished and now it has come out." Marandi said.
When asked about the possibility of Champai Soren joining the BJP, Babulal Marandi refrained from answering.
"I can't tell you. He has said that he went to Delhi to meet his family and when a person is in pain he often visits his family." Marandi said.
On Sunday, In a post on X, Champai Soren shared various instances when he was not allowed to call a meeting of the legislative party and was asked to resign suddenly which prompted him "to look for an alternative path".
"Although the Chief Minister has the right to call a meeting of the legislative party, I was not even told the agenda of the meeting. During the meeting, I was asked to resign. I was surprised, but I had no greed for power, so I immediately resigned, my heart was emotional due to the blow to my self-respect. I was so emotional due to the insulting behaviour I was facing for the last three days that I was trying to control my tears, but they were only interested in the chair. I felt as if I had no existence in that party, no existence at all, to which I had dedicated my entire life. In the meantime, many such insulting incidents happened, which I do not want to mention right now. After so much insult and contempt, I was forced to look for an alternative path," Soren said in a post on X. (ANI)
