Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Aug. 20 (ANI): Heavy rains over last two days lashed northern parts Chhattisgarh affecting communication and causing heavy damage to properties.

Heavy rains lash northern parts of Chhattisgarh
Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Aug. 20 (ANI): Heavy rains over last two days lashed northern parts Chhattisgarh affecting communication and causing heavy damage to properties. The northern Sarguja division of Chhattisgarh had witnessed insufficient rains till the last week but now it is facing a flood like situation due to heavy downpour from the last two days. The road communication with remote villages of Ambikapur, Jashpur, Surajpur and Belrampur has been affected. Over 150 animals also got drowned in the flood waters and over 60 houses have been destroyed in this region. The Met department has forecasted heavy rains to continue over the next two days as well. (ANI)
