New Delhi [India], March 13 (ANI): BJP leader Anil Antony on Wednesday lambasted Kerala Congress MP Anto Antony for raking up the Pulwama attack issue and said that Anto is whitewashing the terror activities of Pakistan and insulting the sacrifice of jawans.
"By statement like this, he is whitewashing the terror activities of Pakistan. He has also insulted the sacrifices of our Jawans and questioned the astounding work done by our Armed forces...he has proven that he doesn't deserve to set foot in the Parliament again," said Anil Antony.
"What happened in Pulwama was a terror attack by enemies of our nation. Cross-border terrorism is one of the biggest challenges we have been facing for a long time," he added.
This comes after Congress MP claimed that the Pulwama terror attack was orchestrated by the government itself.
Notably, Anto Antony alleged that the government was responsible for the death of 42 jawans in Pulwama.
"In a place like this with this quantity of RDX, you cannot go without the knowledge of the government machinery. The then Kashmir governor Satyapal Malik said that the government is responsible for the death of 42 soldiers," he lashed out further.
He added that the guidelines were flouted and they (jawans) were purposefully brought through that particular route by road and the blast happened. "Isn't that what the governor appointed by the BJP said?" he pointed out further.
The BJP leader further lashed out at the Congress MP, saying that Anto Antony has proven that he doesn't deserve to set foot in the Parliament again.
Speaking on the same issue, BJP leader K Surendran has said that Pathanamthitta MP Anto Antony has insulted the country by saying that Pakistan had no role in the Pulwama terror attack. He further demanded that he should be charged with sedition and arrested.
"The Pathanamthitta MP is changing the Indian Army's repeated statement for four votes. This statement insulted the soldiers who died for the nation and questioned the morale of the army," he added.
Surendran also said that the patriots of Pathanamthitta will respond to Anto's pro-Pakistan stance through vote.(ANI)
