New Delhi [India], March 12 (ANI): Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh on Wednesday targeted RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav over his remarks on Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and said that the latter has no knowledge and is speaking out of frustration.
Speaking to ANI, Lalan Singh emphasized that Nitish Kumar remained the Chief Minister despite changes in alliances and that only the coalition shifted, not the government.
"He (Tejashwi) has no knowledge. When Nitish Kumar was a part of NDA, he was the CM. It was only the alliance which changed, not the Government. It was Nitish Kumar's government earlier as well as later. He switched the alliance twice, and he publically said that he made a mistake by switching the alliance," he said.
"What letter of support is he (Tejashwi Yadav) talking about? It was just the alliance which changed. Was Nitish Kumar not the CM before that? Tejashwi Yadav is dreaming and is speaking out of frustration as his dreams are not becoming a reality," Lalan Singh said.
Addressing the Assembly earlier today, Tejashwi Yadav said that Nitish would not have become the Chief Minister without their letter of support.
"Nitish Kumar should resign himself... Even before him, my father (Lalu Yadav) became an MP. He could not have become CM without us giving the 'Samarthan Patra'... He should go to an ashram, as he cannot run the government. What is he doing with the future of 14 crore people? Nitish Kumar's condition is not stable," he said.
The Bihar Assembly witnessed high drama on Wednesday as Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, demanding his resignation.
The uproar led to RJD MLAs walking out of the session, alleging that the CM and the ruling NDA had disrespected women, including Rabri Devi.
Former Bihar CM Rabri Devi hit out at Nitish Kumar, alleging that he disrespects women.
"Nitish Kumar consumes 'bhaang' and comes to the Assembly. He disrespects women, including me... He should see the kind of work we did when we were in power. What the people around him say, he speaks the same. His own party members and some BJP leaders are asking him to say such things," she said. (ANI)
