Haryana on alert as Jat community to hold state wide protests

As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme was organised across Haryana on Thursday, during which ministers, legislators and a large number of party workers lit lakhs of diyas, conveying the message of service, values, harmony and human compassion. The glow of the diyas created an atmosphere filled with spirituality and enthusiasm.

Sundaram clarified that there was no restriction on setting up the plant in Uttarakhand and that any company establishing a plant in the state and offering electricity at a competitive tariff could participate in the prescribed process.

Public Accounts Committee chairperson KC Venugopal on Thursday said that the panel is examining “serious lapses by Railways” relating to passenger amenities that were found during the audit and noted that a meeting will be called again with Railway Ministry officials after a month to see if the shortcoming related to drinking water had been addressed.

Ranka claimed that the campaign had put pressure on governments and referred to steps being taken in Haryana and Rajasthan regarding dilapidated school buildings.
