Ambala (Haryana) [India], October 19 (ANI): BJP senior leader Anil Vij on Saturday announced that the first initiative of the newly formed government will be the inauguration of an escalator at the Civil Hospital in Ambala Cantonment on Monday. He urged officers to expedite ongoing development works, stating that inspections have already begun post-elections.
Vij warned the officers and said that the officers who adhere to slogan - 'I have worked and I will work' will continue to work.
Speaking about the Congress protest over the Haryana government's decision to penalise those who indulge in burning of farm waster Vij said the Congress had just woken from slumber.
"Now Hooda Sahib is waking up from his sleep. Now what is the order of the Supreme Court, it will be seen and work will be done accordingly," he said.
"You have to do this for next five years because the public has rejected you. When you needed the public, the public did not come with you," he added.
Vij commented on Captain Ajay Yadav's resignation from all Congress posts, suggesting that the party's "shop" is on the verge of closing and that others may follow. He stated, "The condition of Congress seems that the shop of Congress is about to close."
The BJP leader also discussed the 'membership campaign' within the BJP, asserting, "Ours is a party of organization," and emphasized that only active members can obtain positions.
Mocking Congress's disarray, he quipped that while its leaders previously fought for the Chief Minister position, they are now vying for the role of opposition leader.
"The doctor who does not know how to read the pulse of the people should close his clinic," he concluded with a pointed remark. (ANI)
