Haryana: Anil Vij defends "Hoodgardi" remarks, says "opposition has limited knowledge"

"There is no argument. The opposition has limited knowledge. They don't have a sense of language. Today in the House, members raised the issue that yesterday, the High Court made a decision on how jobs were distributed by ignoring talent during the rule of the previous Congress government. That issue was raised in the House, it was discussed, and nothing wrong happened," Vij told ANI.

Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], March 19 (ANI): Haryana Labour Minister Anil Vij has defended his "Hoodgardi" remarks against former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, saying that if a prominent personality does something "wrong", it would be attributed to him with his name.
He said that members in the Haryana legislative assembly raised issues invoked by the High Court, which highlighted recruitment issues during the tenure of the Congress government in the state. Slamming the opposition for creating a ruckus over his remarks, Vij said that the opposition had "little knowledge" and "no sense of language."
"I will break the topic, agar koi gunda galat kaam kare to use gundagardi kehte hai...lekin agar koi amukh vyakti (ABCD) koi galat kaam kare to usko ABCD-gardi kaha jaa sakta hai," the Haryana minister said.
In the assembly yesterday, Vij said, "You do the sandhi viched, if a gunda does it, it would be called gundagardi. If Hooda sahab does it, it would be called Hoodagardi. What is wrong with this? You have no knowledge of words. It is not unparliamentary."
His remarks created a huge ruckus in the Haryana assembly, which led to the speaker chair expunging his statement from the official record.
Earlier, Vij termed this year's state budget, which was presented by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday, as "futuristic." Speaking to ANI, Vij said that the budget has been prepared keeping in mind Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India. He further claimed that the budget had been prepared after studying eleven thousand suggestions. (ANI)
