Had Rahul Gandhi queued within Congress, the party would have survived: Javadekar
New Delhi [India], Nov. 11 (ANI): Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi who stood in queue outside a bank claiming to understand the pain of people, Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) leader and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday said had the Congress vice-president queued up within the party, the fittest would have survived and it would have been better off. "Those born into dynasties have lived under the impression that they were born to rule. They never stood in a queue. Succession to positions of power was a birth right. Rahul Gandhi never stood in a queue to become the leader of his party. He superseded men of greater experience and competence merely because dynasties do not queue up. That is the feudal order," Javadekar said. The Environment Minister alleged that Rahul Gandhi wanted to create a scene outside the State Bank of India at Parliament Street by standing in queue and added that it was a great photo opportunity for him. "He visited the bank perhaps for the first time. The irony is that, on the contrary, his photo opportunity turned out to be a success of Prime Minister Modi's scheme. Even those in privileged dynasties will now have to queue up and face the law," he said. Javadekar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to replace high denomination currency is in order to get rid of black money and corruption which has placed a "premium' on honesty of the common-man. "The age of privileges for a few is over now," he said. While visiting the bank earlier today, Rahul Gandhi said, "I have come here to withdraw Rs.4000. I will stand in line with the people who are suffering." He also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, "I am not seeing any "Sui-boot" person standing in queue to withdraw cash. I am only seeing people languishing here standing in serpentine queues." (ANI)
