Govt. raps Pak, condemns beheading of Indian jawan
Samba (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Oct. 29 (ANI): Condemning the beheading of Indian jawan by Pakistani terrorists in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir, Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh on Saturday said those who talk about violation of human rights will realize that one can never pay the debts of the army. "We all are here after being influenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call. This year Diwali is dedicated to the Indian Army. If today we can celebrate Diwali that's just because these army men are protecting our borders. We have come here to boost their morale but we got encouraged by them," Singh told ANI. Singh said there is a sense of safety as the soldiers are standing on the borders to tackle every situation. "We are proud of them. Those (Pakistan) who talk about violation of human rights will today realize that we can never pay the debts of our army. If someone deserves human rights that's the Indian Army. We condemn the incident of yesterday that was conducted by Pakistan. Since 1947 till today, Pakistan has not learnt anything and still not able to understand that Jammu and Kashmir is a part of India," he added. The Centre has assured that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will take cognisance of the beheading of the jawan, adding that nothing could be more atrocious than this disturbing development. The Indian Army yesterday promised retribution after a jawan was mutilated by the terrorists in an encounter near the Line of Control in Macchil sector of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists mutilated the jawan's body, apparently beheading him, before fleeing back into Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir under the cover of firing provided by the Pakistan Army. (ANI)
