Patna (Bihar) [India], September 1 (ANI): Accusing the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of using Muslims as "vote banks", Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishor challenged the RJD and said that if they claim to be the leader of Muslims, then they should give tickets according to the Muslim population.
"If rights are to be given based on the population, then Muslims should contest elections on at least 40 Vidhan Sabha seats. The people of RJD are claiming to be the well-wishers of Muslims. I challenged them that if the Muslim votes were divided if the Jan Suraaj Party contested the elections, then wherever you would launch a Muslim candidate, we would launch a Hindu candidate there. Stop snatching their rights and give them tickets as per the population. You have taken the votes of them," Kishor told reporters on Sunday.
Prashant Kishore further exuded confidence of winning the assembly elections in Bihar in 2025.
"In 2025, the Chief Minister of Jan Suraaj will take the oath, and the government of Jan Suraaj will be in power. There is no, if and but," he added.
When asked whether it would be a trilateral contest, he said the main contest in the assembly election would be between Jan Suraaj and the NDA.
"According to the Lok Sabha numbers, he said, the NDA is ahead in 176 of 243 assembly seats in Bihar. RJD is nowhere," he added.
Earlier, Prashant Kishor said that in 2025, Jan Suraaj will contest on 243 seats and at least 40 women candidates will be nominated.
"We have also said that till 2030, at least 70-80 women will be trained and made leaders from Jan Suraaj. This was not a meeting of the women's cell; it was an effort to make women leaders in the true sense. Till the time women get economic independence, their equal participation is not possible, that's why Jan Suraaj's first campaign is to make 40 women win in the next assembly elections. The second thing we demanded is that the women who want to do an occupation or want to get employed should get money on a "sarkari guarantee" from the government, the third thing is that in 2025, when the Jan Suraaj government is formed, then no one will be forced to leave Bihar for a job of Rs 10,000-12,000. We have prepared a complete blueprint for this. The last thing that we appealed to them is to vote for the future of their children and not for politicians," he said.
The assembly elections in Bihar are likely to be held in October-November 2025. (ANI)
