Guwahati (Assam) [India], Apr 27 (ANI): Tasile N Zeliang would be conferred Honoris Causa (Honorary Doctorate Degree) by the Gauhati University in recognition of her unstinted and tireless efforts in the field of education, sports, writing and social works during the 26th convocation ceremony of the institution on April 28 here.

Guwahati (Assam) [India], Apr 27 (ANI): Tasile N Zeliang would be conferred Honoris Causa (Honorary Doctorate Degree) by the Gauhati University in recognition of her unstinted and tireless efforts in the field of education, sports, writing and social works during the 26th convocation ceremony of the institution on April 28 here. The university would be conferring the Honoris Causa for the first time. The Governor of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh, P.B. Acharya has advised universities to recognize people who contribute society. He emphasized that the efforts of people in preservation and promotion of indigenous tribal culture, traditions, environment and home medicine must be acknowledged. (ANI)
