New Delhi [India], October 25 (ANI): Slamming the Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government over the Bharatpur incident where a man was brutally crushed to death by tractor, Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat said that such incidents are a result of a criminal-anarchist mentality that has arisen under Congress in the state.
In a post on X, Gajendra Shekhawat said, "The incident of murder of a young man by openly trampling him with a tractor in the Bayana area of Bharatpur is heart-wrenching. Since the matter was in the cognizance of the police, it is natural for questions to be raised on it. This is a very condemnable accident, which is the result of the criminal-anarchist mentality that has arisen during the tenure of the Gehlot government."
Reacting to the incident, police on Wednesday said that the man was allegedly mowed down by a tractor in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district following a clash between two groups of the Gurjar community.
"We received information at around 7:30 am in the morning that a clash had erupted between two parties belonging to the Gurjar community. I reached the spot along with the Station House Officer (SHO) and Circle Officer (CO) and found that, amid the fight between the two groups, a person died after he was run over by a tractor," Bayana ASP Om Prakash Kalaniya said.
In this regard, BJP has demanded Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi should visit Bharatpur. The BJP leader Sambit Patra said that it is not just about the murder of one person,
"This is about the whole of Rajasthan. It is about all Congress-ruled states," he said.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur also slammed the Rajasthan government on Wednesday and said that in the last 5 years, over 2 lakh incidents of atrocities against women and 35,000 incidents of molestation were recorded in Rajasthan and Ashok Gehlot's Congress government remained asleep.
"If there is any example of lawlessness where law and order have completely died, it is Rajasthan. In the last 5 years, over 2 lakh incidents of atrocities against women and 35,000 incidents of molestation were recorded in Rajasthan and Ashok Gehlot's Congress government remained asleep," Anurag Thakur said.
Adding that the Bharatpur incident shows that no one is afraid of law and order in Rajasthan, Anurag Thakur said, "What has happened to Rajasthan? Rajasthan was once known for tourism, and today it has become the capital of crime. The time has come to bid farewell to the Rajasthan government." (ANI)
