Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Mar 24 (ANI): A faction of YSRCP cadre in Paderu in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam district on Saturday set furniture of the party’s office on fire after Visweswar Raju was denied an MLA ticket.
Raju was anticipating a ticket from Paderu Assembly constituency. However, he did not get the ticket.
His followers got dissatisfied and alleged that despite their hard-work to strengthen the party, their leader was denied ticket.
YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a public meeting at Paderu, after which the faction reached the party office. They first burnt the furniture in the office and later shouted slogans expressing their dissent.
Andhra Pradesh will go to polls on April 11, and counting of votes will take place on May 23.
