New Delhi [India], January 20 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party's star campaigner for Delhi assembly polls and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said on Monday that the AAP-led government in Punjab has fulfilled more guarantees than they had promised in Punjab, taking a jab at Bharatiya Janata Party's accusation of 'unfulfilled promises.'
"Do you think we are the ones with bricks? We are the ones with flowers, schools, and hospitals. It is them (BJP) who always talk about fighting...We have fulfilled more guarantees than we had promised in Punjab," Mann told reporters while campaigning for the party.
He further hit out at BJP's New Delhi constituency candidate Parvesh Verma, saying that an FIR has been registered against him too.
"The support we are receiving, its value cannot be measured in any currency...Does he (BJP candidate Parvesh Verma) think that the people of Delhi can be bought? There has been an FIR on him...AAP will form govt with over 60 seats," he added.
Earlier today, Sandeep Singh, on behalf of Parvesh Verma filed a complaint with the Delhi police alleging AAP of unlawfully influencing voters in Kidwai Nagar.
The complaint alleged that the ruling party has "unlawfully distributed chairs" to Resident Welfare Association (RWA) while addressing them during a public meeting.
"Using party workers to bribe voters with material goods is a direct violation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Prevention of Corruption Act, and the MCC. This is yet another example of how the AAP leadership resorts to unethical practices to influence voters," read the statement by the BJP leader's office.
The complaint demanded that an FIR be registered for the alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
"Complaint against Arvind Kejriwal, AAP-candidate (AC-40) and his party workers for unlawfully adopting corrupt practice and bribing to influence the voters and further direct to register an FIR under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), RP (Representation of People) Act and other laws of land for their open violation of MCC too," read the complaint by Sandeep Singh.
