Former MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan heads for massive victory in Vidisha, leads by over 8 lakh votes

BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who is contesting from Vidisha Lok Sabha seat is heading towards a massive victory and leading by 7,01,096 votes, looked overwhelmed and said people are God to him and he will be serving them till he is alive.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 4 (ANI): BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is contesting from the Vidisha Lok Sabha seat, is heading towards a massive victory, leading by a margin of over eight lakh votes.
Chouhan looked overwhelmed and said people are like God to him, and he will serve them as long as he is alive.
While talking to ANI, he said, "People are God to me, and serving them is like 'puja'. They have given me so much love... I will keep serving people till I am alive. This is an expression of admiration and belief of people in PM Modi."
"BJP is winning all 29 seats in MP and for the 3rd time, NDA is crossing 300 seats... under the leadership of PM Modi, India will become developed," he said.
Meanwhile, party workers and supporters of Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached his residence in Bhopal to congratulate him.
Pitted against Chouhan are Congress' Prataphanu Sharma and Bahujan Samaj Party's (BSP) Kishan Lal Ladiya.
Seats falling under the Vidisha constituency include Bhojpur, Vidisha, Basoda, Budhni, Ichhawar, Khategaon, Sanchi, and Silwani.
As the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha polls is underway, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA has crossed the majority mark in early leads, with the INDIA bloc surpassing 200, defying all exit poll predictions.
The BJP is ahead in 239 seats, while its broader coalition, the NDA, is leading in 290 seats. The majority mark is 272.
Meanwhile, the INDIA bloc is leading with 235 seats and others with 18 seats. Congress is leading in 99 seats, Samajwadi Party in 38, DMK in 22, Trinamool Congress in 29, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) in nine, NCP (Sharad Pawar) in seven, CPI(M) in two, and Aam Aadmi Party in three seats. (ANI)
