BJP MLA and West Bengal Assembly Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday expressed confidence that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) would be defeated in the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.

The NCP (SP) MLA informed that Gandhi reviewed the information carefully, demonstrating a strong understanding of aviation matters, and expressed concern upon learning that an FIR has not been registered in Maharashtra.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) MLA Kadakampally Surendran on Thursday refuted claims of the complaint made by Unnikrishnan Potti, Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple gold theft case prime accused, stating Surendran conspired with a woman to file a complaint before the Special Investigation Team (SIT). He said that the complaint is a result of a conspiracy running against him in view of the upcoming Assembly elections.

"He (Farooq Abdullah) was attending a function. We were all with them. When we were departing from the function, a man came from behind, and he ran very fast and placed his revolver on the back of Doctor Sahib (Farooq Abdullah), and he fired, but his shot missed. The people who were with Doctor Sahib's (Farooq Abdullah) security people caught him in a moment, made him fall, pressed him, and, with great difficulty, we took the pistol from him. Then we left from there and came back home," Jan told ANI.

The election, scheduled for March 16, has become a three-way contest with BJP's Sanjay Bhatia and Independent candidate Satish Nandal also in the fray.

BJP MLA Bhawna Bohra, while speaking to ANI, said, "Since the start of the SIR process, Mamata Banerjee has been making several allegations on the Election Commission... She should first find democracy in her government in Bengal.

The Chief Minister said that in Uttarakhand politics, Bhatt was famously known as the "Field Marshal," reflecting his strong and determined leadership. He added that the life of the late Bhatt inspires the understanding that politics is not just a means to power, but also a path of service and dedication.

Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari on Tuesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of having an anti-tribal mindset and said that the Congress party would approach the Supreme Court against the decision to declare the election of Congress leader Mukesh Malhotra from Vijaypur Assembly constituency "null and void".

BJP MLA and West Bengal Assembly Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari slammed the protests and black flags shown to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar during his visit to Kolkata, alleging that such actions were part of a political campaign by the ruling Trinamool Congress.

A single bench of Justice G S Ahluwalia further declared the runner-up BJP candidate, Ramniwas Rawat, as the "elected MLA" from the seat.
