Foreign policy must consider domestic imperatives to seek investments: V.K. Singh

New Delhi [India], Feb. 14 (ANI): Minister of State for External Affairs General V.K. Singh on Tuesday said foreign policy must keep domestic imperatives in mind to seek more investments and thereby contribute in nation's progress. "The Foreign policy must keep domestic imperatives in mind so that it can promote domestic interest through it and thus we can seek more business and investment and ensure these contribute to the nation's growth," Singh told ANI. Asserting that there is a huge difference between current and previous foreign policy, Singh said that in last two years many sectors have been opened up for mutual benefit in which investments can be made and country's progress can be ensured. "There is a difference because I think this issue that I have said was not getting the type of importance that it should have got. Today in two year period you can see 40 percent jump in FDIs. You are seeing programs in which people want to come and participate," he added. Singh further said that nobody is being neglected and the government is dealing ever body on the same plane depending on the mutual interest. He further said that the international agenda is part of the foreign policy initiatives.(ANI)
