Focus of my govt is on women empowerment, creating 30 lakh Lakhpati Didi: Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida

Rayagada (Odisha) [India], July 12 (ANI): Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said that the focus of the state government is on women empowerment and creating 30 lakh Lakhpati Didi in the state.
Pravati Parida said, "I was in Rayagada district today. In 15 days, I have been to 7 districts. As Mission Shakti Minister, the focus of my government is on women's empowerment. We are furthering PM's vision of women employment, we have to make 30 lakh Lakhpati Didi here. We have already created 7 to 8 lakh Lakhpati Didi. Women are working in 19 departments under Mission Shakti. To empower the participation of women in the economic development of villages, under the guidance of PM Modi Mission Shakti is moving forward."
She further said that the priority of the government is to help villages and women progress and this would play a crucial role.
She further said, "Women in villages will earn for livelihood. She will play an important role in the progress of the village. She will play an important role in framing ideas. Women are empowered to take care of line departments like anganwadis. The priority of our government is to give jobs to women, to encourage daughters. In Odisha's tribal region, women are empowered. The economy of the household is handled by women."
She further said that under Mission Shakti 70 lakh women are organised and studying further and moving forward.
She added, "Odisha will rank first in the vision of PM Modi on women-led development."
The Lakhpati Didi initiative is integral to the Prime Minister's vision of fostering economic empowerment and financial autonomy among women, especially in rural areas, according to an official release. (ANI)
