Srinagar (J-K)[India], Mar15 (ANI): The department of floriculture has organized tulip festival in Srinagar's Siraj Bagh from April 1 to April 15 to attract tourists from various parts of the world. With the motive to encourage tourism, the department of floriculture has planned to exhibit 46 varieties of tulip flowers in the garden. "We request tourists to visit the garden instead of travelling to Holland to see the beautification of tulip flowers. We also invite locals to the garden to enjoy the wonderful sight of beautifully planted flowers," Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Secretary Farooq Shah told ANI. The ambience of the garden located at the foothills of Zadarwan is surrounded by Dal Lake. Hundreds of workers and professional gardeners have been appointed in the field. "We are eagerly waiting for the garden to get opened so that we get to see wonderful sight of the place with tulip flowers spread all over the garden. We are happy and pray for a normal situation for the visitors to explore tulip season without any turbulence in Srinagar," Farhan, a local visitor, told ANI. (ANI)
