Filing of nominations ends today for final phase of UP polls
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India] Feb. 16 (ANI): The filing of nominations ends today for the seventh and final phase of assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. The voting in this phase will be held for 40 seats of the 403-member assembly on March 8. The scrutiny will be held tomorrow, with Monday being the last day to withdraw the candidature. The scrutiny will take place today for the sixth phase, in which 49 constituencies will go to polls on March 4. The last day for withdrawal of nominations is Saturday. As many as 742 candidates had filed their nominations in this phase. (ANI)
