New Delhi [India], October 4 (ANI): Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bhardwaj terms the Delhi excise policy case a "fictitious scam" after Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at party MP Sanjay Singh's residence in connection with the scam on Wednesday.
"This is such a fictitious scam in which an investigation has been going on for the last 15 months. ED and CBI have conducted raids in at least 1000 places but not even Rs 1 has been recovered from anywhere. They will not get anything at the residence of Sanjay Singh as well. BJP is losing the elections, this is the truth," Saurabh Bhardwaj said while speaking to ANI.
The ED this morning arrived at Singh's Delhi residence and began its searches in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.
AAP's Malvinder Singh Kang termed the move a "political vendetta" and alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led central government is continuously behind the AAP party with the feeling of revenge.

"But till this day not a single penny has been found from the AAP leader's house, on which questions can be raised. Many of our leaders are tortured and arrested. This is completely a political vendetta," Kang told ANI.
AAP national spokesperson Reena Gupta earlier today said that the ED conducted search operations at the residence of MP Sanjay Singh because he continuously questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the industrialist Gautam Adani.
BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa claimed that AAP is ending due to its corruption while adding that MP Sanjay Singh had a main role in the liquor scam.
Meanwhile, on the ongoing ED raid, Sanjay Singh's father said that they would cooperate with the probe agency.
"The Department is doing its work, we will cooperate with them. I will wait for the time when he will get clearance," he said.
Earlier this May, Singh in a letter to Finance Secretary T V Somanathan said that the ED Director and Assistant Director deliberately linked his name to the alleged liquor scam without any basis, tarnishing his public image and defaming him.
Singh mentioned that his name was added on the basis of statements from Delhi-based businessman and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's close aide Dinesh Arora.
Singh also alleged that the officers misused their position tarnished his public image and demanded prosecution against them. He said he already sent a legal notice to the officers to issue an open and public apology.
According to ED sources, the name of the AAP leader appears four times in the ED charge sheet out of which one reference was wrong and typed inadvertently.
At one place Sanjay Singh's name was mentioned instead of Rahul Singh who was then excise commissioner.
Further details are awaited. (ANI)
