Father, priest arrested for stopping denying breast feed of newborn

Calicut (Kerala) [India], Nov. 5 (ANI): In a shocking incident, police on Saturday arrested the father of a new born and a priest for stopping his wife from breast feeding it until the five calls for prayer were heard from a nearby mosque.

Calicut (Kerala) [India], Nov. 5 (ANI): In a shocking incident, police on Saturday arrested the father of a new born and a priest for stopping his wife from breast feeding it until the five calls for prayer were heard from a nearby mosque. Aboobackar, the father of the baby, did not allow his wife Hafsath, 24, to breast feed the baby due to some religious beliefs. The baby was born on November 2 at around 2 a.m. at Calicut's EMS Cooperative Hospital in Mukkam. The hospital authorities filed a complaint, after which the police arrested the father and the priest. (ANI)
