Begusarai (Bihar) [India], January 11 (ANI): Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday mocked RJD's Tejashwi Yadav's recent statement in which he said he would keep silent for 100 days about the current goverment, saying they should go into penance during that time.
He launched a scathing attack, suggesting that both the former Deputy Chief Minister and his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, should retreat from the political limelight.
"They (Tejashwi Yadav) should become Mauni Baba (silent sages). Both father and son should remain silent and observe penance for 100 days.", Singh told the media.
Earlier, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav alleged that the current government's victory was a product of "deceit and trickery". Yadav claimed that "Lok" (the people) had lost while "Tantra" (the system) had won in the 2025 elections.
"Lok" lost , "Tantra" won... We all know the conspiracy behind their victory. They have won through deceit and trickery. Everybody in the nation and Bihar knows it.", Tejashwi Yadav accused.
Yadav announced that the opposition would observe for a 100-day period before speaking on the new government's policies. During this time, he stated that they would see what the current government does for the people.
"We won't say anything about the decisions and policies of the current government for 100 days. Then we would see how many of our sisters and mothers receive 2 lakhs each, and when will 1 crore youths get jobs. There has been talk of setting up four to five factories in every district. We would see if that happens," he remarked.
Along with that, Union Minister Giriraj Singh criticised AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi's recent remarks and stressed that the nation will not tolerate "hateful statements" anymore.
"Owaisi only makes statements that spread hatred. The country will not accept hatred today.", Singh said.
This comes after All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi asserted that Muslims need to create their own political agency by not being mere voters for other parties.
He said that the houses of Muslims will be bulldozed if they continue to participate in the democratic processes as mere voters without focusing on "making their own political agency."
He further alleged that all political parties try to win Muslim votes through fear.
"Muslims don't have a political agency. If you remain just a voter, your house will be bulldozed. All the political parties, including the BJP, Ajit Pawar, and Eknath Shinde, want to gain your votes by scaring you. Congress wants you to remain a voter so that you can't get anything done. You must make your own political agency," Owaisi said. (ANI)
