Ludhiana (Punjab) [India], May 26 (ANI): Aam Admi Party (AAP) Lok Sabha candidate from Punjab's Ludhiana Ashok Parashar Pappi on Sunday launched a scathing attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Farm Bill 2024 saying that the bill was taken back after so many farmers died protesting against it.
"The position of the Ludhiana BJP candidate is such that PM Modi cancelled his rally here. Just Union Home Minister Amit Shah came to Ludhiana to campaign today," said Ashok Parashar taking a dig at BJP's Ludhiana candidate Ravneet Singh Bittu.
Hitting out at the centre led by BJP he said, "Firstly, before asking for votes they (BJP leaders) should give us our Rs 8000 crores...The people of Punjab don't forget things easily..."
Launching a scathing attack against the centre over Farm Bill 2024, he said, "After 700 farmers sacrificed lives, the bill was taken back. These are the same famers who brought a green revolution to the country. You make Punjab cry and then you give a cloth to wipe tears."
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal carried out a massive roadshow in Punjab's Hoshiarpur ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in the state on June 1.
He highlighted the establishment of Mohalla clinics and the facilities provided to the people of Punjab over the past two years.

The voting will take place on seats of Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Khadoor Sahib, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Nandpur Sahib, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Firozpur, Bathinda, Sangrur, and Patiala and a lone seat of Chandigarh.
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases, in a six-week marathon running from April 19 to June 1. The counting and results will be announced on June 4. (ANI)
