Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 11 (ANI): Samajwadi Party leader and MP from Faizabad Awadhesh Prasad on Thursday reassured of proper compensation and high-level investigation in alleged Ayodhya land scam.
He reached Ayodhya and received a warm welcome through the party workers at Valmiki Airport.
Speaking with ANI, Faizabad MP Awadhesh Singh said, "I am fortunate to be chosen as MP from Ayodhya, the land of Lord Ram. This is my birthplace and workplace. This public has chosen me as MLA seven times and as Minister six times. This is Lord Ram's and Ayodhya's godly public courtesy that I have been selected as an MP from this seat."
Hitting out at the BJP on the alleged land scam, Singh stated, "Bharatiya Janata Party has sold Ayodhya's public land worth crores at just penny prices to outsiders and not enough compensation has been given to them. I reassure the public of Ayodhya that I will ask for appropriate compensation. This is a big issue and I assure a high-level investigation into this scam. The whole matter will be exposed up in front of the public. We will provide proper compensation to them."
He further stated, "Ayodhya's public has clarified that the nation is rejecting communal politics. Now politics will run only upon issues like the constitution, reservation, development, employment, youth, and agniveer scheme. BJP's has lost due to its ideology and religious politics."
On the issue of non-bailable warrant against BJP-ally parties MLA Bedi Ram and MLA Vipul Dubey, Prasad asserted, "Further investigation will show up more about who (referring BJP-allies) is involved in all these scams, whether it is about railway police recruitment or NET."
Responding to the questions on floods, he stated, "This is the result of the government's failure, as meetings are held after Holi, regarding drainage cleaning and flood-affected areas. But no work has been done by the government, it has been whitewashed, and money has been misused. We will go to the flood-affected areas and address the problems of the people." (ANI)
