Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], September 15 (ANI): Reacting to the incident of qn alleged security breach during an event of Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, BJP leader N. Ravikumar said that this is the failure of the Home Department and intelligence wing.
N. Ravikumar said, "The person (who ran towards the stage) was going from the VVIP gallery. He was running towards the Chief Minister. This is a security failure. Three months ago during the session, slogans of 'Pakistan Zindabad' were raised by 100 youths. No action was taken against them. This is a failure of the Home Department and intelligence wing.
He further said that this was the fourth incident of a security scare in recent times.
"There was a bomb blast in Mangaluru, In Bengaluru there was a blast in Rameswaram Cafe, BJP state office is targeted, and in Nagamangala in Mandya district Hindus were lathi-charged during the Ganpati festival. Nearly 50 shops were burnt and no action was taken. Ganpati idol was seized and kept in the police station. This is an insult to Hindus. Even PM Narendra Modi mentioned it in his speech. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah should apologise," he added.
An alleged security breach occurred during an event of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah when an unidentified person ran towards the stage where the Karnataka CM was present in Bengaluru on Sunday.
The security personnel quickly intervened and stopped the person on the stage, after which the event proceeded without further incident.
Earlier on International Democracy Day Siddaramaiah said, "In Karnataka, our government is dedicated to building a state where democracy thrives, communities live in harmony, and secularism is upheld. But the threat to these values persists. Together, we must remain vigilant, stand united, and continue to nurture Karnataka as a peaceful garden of all communities." (ANI)
