Patna (Bihar) [India], April 25 (ANI): On the murder of Janata Dal-United (JDU) leader Saurabh Kumar, Misa Bharti, daughter of former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, said that immediate action must be taken by the state government.
"This incident is extremely saddening. I had a conversation with SSP Rajiv Mishra. I also met the family of the victim. Immediate action must be taken. On the one hand, Nitish Kumar is hailed for a good law and order system but such a thing happened. I hope he is taking the matter seriously," she said.
Lashing out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hailing the INDI alliance, she said that the PM had already been given chances but he has not delivered what he promised.
"There is a wave in favour of the INDI alliance. We are moving ahead with the issues. The Prime Minister got two chances and he did nothing. He took no action against unemployment, he has not been able to double farmers' income, there have been no new factories in Bihar, the migration is as it is, and everyone is seeing the condition of Agniveer... The people are showing complete faith towards the INDI Alliance... The Mahagathbandhan is moving towards a huge victory..."
Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday levelled a series of allegations against the Prime Minister and asked, "What PM Modi has given to Bihar in the last 10 years?"
Out of 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar, four seats Jamui, Nawada, Gaya, and Aurangabad went to polls during the first phase of voting on April 19.
The rest of the seats will go to polls in the remaining six phases of the general elections, with 2nd phase on April 26.
Overall, the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections will witness voting in 89 constituencies spread across 13 states and union territories. (ANI)
