BJP leader CT Ravi said that every state will benefit from the amount allocated for infrastructure in the Union Budget 2024, adding that the government announced the setting up of 12 industrial parks in the country and Karnataka will benefit from it.

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], July 23 (ANI): BJP leader CT Ravi said that every state will benefit from the amount allocated for infrastructure in the Union Budget 2024, adding that the government announced the setting up of 12 industrial parks in the country and Karnataka will benefit from it.
BJP leader CT Ravi said, "When there was UPA government in the country, the Indian economy was at the 11th position in the world. Now, it is the 5th largest economy in the world. Every state of India will benefit from the amount allocated for infrastructure. Under the PM Awas Yojana 4 crore houses have been allocated, 3 crore in villages and 1 crore in cities. The government made announcements to establish 12 industrial parks in the country."
He further said that Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy is the Heavy Industries and Steel Minister and Karnataka will benefit from it.
He further alleged that during the elections, the Congress was involved in a scam while distributing a tender of Rs 2000 crore for road construction.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an investment of Rs 10 lakh crore under the PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 while presenting the Union Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 in Parliament on Tuesday.
Sitharaman said, "Under the PM Awas Yojna, Urban 2.0, housing needs a 1 crore urban poor and middle class families will be addressed with an investment of Rs 10 lakh crore. This will include the central assistance of Rs 2.2 lakh crore in the next 5 years."
Sitharaman, in her seventh consecutive Union Budget for 2024-25, outlined key priorities aimed at fostering economic growth and creating ample opportunities.
She listed productivity and resilience in agriculture, employment and skilling, inclusive human resource development and social justice, manufacturing and services, urban development, energy security, infrastructure, innovation, research and development and next-generation reforms as nine priority areas for the government.
The first priority includes- raising productivity and climate resilient varieties, thrust on Natural Farming: 2 crore farmers to be supported in next 2 years(certificates), Atma Nirbharta in Oil seeds; Vegetable Production: Large Scale Clusters, DPI in Agri Infrastructure: Coverage of Farmers and their Land in three years. Digital Crop Survey in 400 districts this year only. Issuance of Jan Samarth-based certificates.
The Union Budget 2024-25 identified nine priorities for generating ample opportunities. Presenting the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha, Sitharaman said subsequent budgets will build on these priorities.
The priorities include Productivity and Resilience in Agriculture, Employment and Skilling and Manufacturing and Services.
"This Budget envisages sustained efforts on the following nine priorities for generating ample opportunities for all - Productivity and Resilience in Agriculture, Employment and Skilling, Inclusive Human Resource Development and Social Justice, Manufacturing and Service, Urban Development, Energy Security, Infrastructure, Innovation, Research and Development and Next Generation Reforms. Subsequent budgets will build on these and add more priorities and actions," she said. (ANI)
