"Every penny 'looted' from people will have to be returned": PM slams Congress over raids at party MP's premises

New Delhi [India], December 8 (ANI): Following the seizure of crores of rupees from Congress MP during tax raids in Odisha and Jharkhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday took a swipe at the opposition on the issue of corruption, asserting it is "Modi's guarantee" that they will have to return every penny "looted" from people.
PM Modi, in a post on X, said that it is guarantee of Modi that every penny looted from people will have to be returned.


He also tagged a news report of the Income Tax department recovering Rs 200 crore in cash from various locations of a business group allegedly linked to Congress MP from Jharkhand Dhiraj Prasad Sahu.
"The countrymen should look at the pile of these notes and then listen to the honest 'speeches' of their leaders," he said in a post with several emojis.
"Every penny looted from people will have to be returned. This is Modi's guarantee," the PM added.
Income Tax sleuths have recovered more than Rs 200 crore cash from Jharkhand Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu's residences in Jharkhand and Odisha.
IT conducted raids at the premises of Dheeraj Sahu in Jharkhand and Odisha for two consecutive days.
Raids were conducted at Boudh Distilleries Private Limited (BDPL) in Odisha and Jharkhand on Thursday. (ANI)
