Even political experts believe that BJP will form government in UP: Rajnath Singh
Onboard special aircraft, Mar. 4 (ANI): Claiming that the Bharatiya Janata Party will form the next government with an absolute majority in Uttar Pradesh, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said even political experts are of the same view. "BJP storm is going on across eastern Uttar Pradesh. Now even political experts believe that BJP will form the government by a majority in Uttar Pradesh. (Purvanchal UP mein BJP ki hawa nahi, aandhi chal rahi hai. Ab toh rajnetik visheshagya bhi maante hain ki UP mein BJP ki puran bahut ki sarkaar banne ja rahi hai)," Singh said while on his way to Varanasi. Expressing similar sentiments, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said the kind of work Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done for the nation would result in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) enjoying and securing a huge wave of support in the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Varanasi is witnessing a massive road show by Prime Minister Modi. Prime Minister Modi began his rally from the main gate of the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus main gate along with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah. The rally will conclude near the famous Kal Bhairo Mandir of Varanasi. Before beginning his road show, he put garland on the statue of freedom fighter Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, who was also the founder of BHU. He is also expected to visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Prime Minister Modi will to address public meetings both Varanasi and Jaunpur. Besides Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi are also scheduled to hold a joint road show crisscrossing through a major part of the city while BSP supremo Mayawati will be holding a rally on city outskirts. The seventh-phase of Assembly election is scheduled to take place on March 8 in which around 46 constituencies covering seven districts of Uttar Pradesh will cast their vote. Meanwhile, the sixth-phase of the state assembly election is underway in Uttar Pradesh. The voter turnout recorded in this phase till 9 a.m. was 11 percent. Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the electorate at 17,926 polling booths across 49 assembly seats. This phase of polling will also cover districts bordering Nepal. The Indo-Nepal border was hence sealed a day before the election process. The districts going to polls are Mau, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Ballia and Azamgarh. Around 1.72 crore voters, with 94.60 lakh men and 77.84 lakh women, will decide the fate of 635 candidates. (ANI)
