"Engaged in spreading confusion": Nityanand Rai hits back at Rahul Gandhi's 'Gujarat Model' remarks

Responding to Gandhi's accusations, Rai said, "The Gujarat model is a model of progress, development, and prosperity, which these people have called a model of vote theft, thereby displaying their frustration over the defeat. He (Rahul Gandhi) is on a tour of Bihar with Tejashwi Yadav and is engaged in spreading confusion, but the people of Bihar will not fall for this."

Patna (Bihar) [India], August 28 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on Thursday hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks branding the 'Gujarat Model' as a "model of theft," stating that it is in fact a path of "progress, development, and prosperity."
Speaking to ANI, the Union MoS further stated that such statements from opposition leaders show their frustration over the defeat. He also accused Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav of engaging in spreading 'confusion' among Bihar's public.
Rai further stressed that Bihar has moved away from what he termed the "jungle raj" of the Lalu-Rabri years.
He said, "This is not the Bihar from 1990 to 2005, not the Bihar of Lalu-Rabri's jungle raj. Bihar has already moved towards development... Here, good roads, electricity, water, and good treatment in hospitals are needed, which Bihar is receiving... It is in Rahul Gandhi's nature to join hands with anti-national forces, merge their ideas with his own, and serve them here..."
On Wednesday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi augmented his allegations of "vote theft" against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, and claimed that the Gujarat model was essentially a "model of theft".
He said that Congress will prove the allegations of vote theft "beyond a doubt" in the coming days.
"We will inform you within the next six months that they have developed a model of theft in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha, which they have named the Gujarat model. It was not an economic model, but a model of theft," Gandhi, Leader of Opposition (LoP) Lok Sabha, said while addressing the gathering in Muzaffarpur on the tenth day of the 'Voter Adhikaar Yatra.'
