End your 'Mahabharat' first, then focus on 'Mahagathbandhan': BJP to SP
New Delhi [India], Nov. 11 (ANI): Continuing to exchange blows over the internal rift within the Yadav clan, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday called on the Samajwadi Party (SP) to sort out their family 'Mahabharat' first, before thinking about the formation of a 'Mahagathbandhan'. "With regard to these kinds of talks about a Mahagathbandhan, let them get over the Mahabharat that is taking place in their own family, in terms what is happening between the uncle and the nephew," BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli told ANI here. He further said that the Samajwadi Party should present their report of the last five years on a range of issues from law and order to the development of the state. "Law and order has suffered, development has suffered, problems are there in Uttar Pradesh, after that the Samajwadi Party can talk about such notional ideas which have come out from time to time, whether there will be "Gathbandhan" or a "Mahagathbandhan" or a No "Gathbandhan," Kohli added. Earlier, launching a direct attack on the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP), BJP president Amit Shah accused the former of depriving the people of Uttar Pradesh from getting benefits of the Centre sponsored welfare schemes. Speaking at the second leg of the Parivartan Yatra held in Jhansi, aiming to cover all 403 constituencies, Shah said "The Samajwadi Party (SP) has been depriving the people of Uttar Pradesh from accessing welfare schemes sponsored by the Central government." The internal rift between Samajwadi Party leaders surfaced again on November 5 at the party's silver jubilee celebrations in Lucknow. Senior party leaders Shivpal Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav made veiled attacks on each other while addressing the people at the event. (ANI)
