Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking at a public rally in Jamnagar on Monday.

Jamnagar (Gujarat) [India], March 4 (ANI): Stating that the country is united on the need to eliminate the terror menace, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday asserted that everyone should be proud of our armed forces.
"The nation agrees that the menace of terror has to be eliminated. I want to ask, don't you trust what our armed forces say? It is natural that we should believe the armed forces and be proud of the forces. Yet, I don’t understand why some people still want to question the forces,' he said while addressing a public rally.
He also took a dig at the Opposition without taking any names and underlined the need of inducting Rafale in the Indian Air Force.
"If the Indian Air Force had the Rafale today, the situation would have been different. I can't do anything if some people fail to understand this," he said.
Speaking about the achievements of the central government in the fisheries sector, Modi said: "When Atal Ji was the Prime Minister, a separate ministry for tribal communities was created.  The present NDA Government has created a new ministry for the fisheries sector."
On the water scarcity issue in Gujarat, he pointed out: "For many years, there was an issue of water shortage in Gujarat. This state has been drought prone.  While there was a problem, there was also a determination to solve this problem. We worked to improve the water scarcity problem, particularly in areas where water shortage was more."
Asserting that Gujarat has witnessed a revolution in the health sector in the last few years, he said that hospitals with modern facilities are coming up across the state which will benefit the poor.
"In Ayushman Bharat, India is home to one of the biggest healthcare programmes in the world. The coming of this initiative ensures top quality and affordable healthcare for the poor," said Modi.
He also stated that the country needs structural and long term measures to overcome the challenges we face and the time for poorly thought out short term measures is over.
The Prime Minister dedicated 750-bed annexe of Guru Gobind Singh hospital to the nation and also inaugurated its newly built PG hostel. Through a video link, he also flagged off the Bandra- Jamnagar Humsafar Express.
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Rajkot-Kanalus Railway Line doubling project. (ANI)
