Jalpaiguri (West Bengal) [India], May 26 (ANI): BJP workers in Jalpaiguri made a 101 kg laddoo on account of the party's performance in West Bengal and nationally.
"We have made a 101 kg laddoo. We have gone from two to 18 seats in West Bengal. The people of Bengal have blessed the BJP whole-heartedly. That is why we have made the laddoo," a BJP worker said while talking to ANI.
Asked why a 101 kg laddoo was prepared, he said, "Such a big laddoo has never been made here. We want to gift BJP all the seats of assembly in the next Assembly elections in the state. We want to gift it to Modiji so that he becomes stronger in Bhopal."
The BJP worker asserted that the party will win the Assembly elections in the state which are due in 2021.
"The next Chief Minister of West Bengal will be from BJP," he added.
BJP won 18 seats in the recently held Lok Sabha polls as against two seats in 2014. The ruling party in West Bengal, TMC, won 22 seats as against 34 in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. (ANI)
